Dash Lights Brightness Controller Input Test
- Check fuse No. 30 (7.5-amp) in underdash fuse/relay box. Replace as necessary and retest system. If fuse is okay, go to next step.
- Carefully pry switches from instrument panel. Disconnect dash light brightness controller 3-pin connector. Check dash light brightness controller connector for loose, damaged or corroded terminals. If problem exists, repair connector as necessary and retest system. If problem does not exist, go to next step.
- Perform dash light brightness controller input test. See Fig 1
. If any input test is not as specified, repair indicated problem and retest system. If all input tests are as specified, replace dash lights brightness controller.
