A/T Gear Position Indicator Input Test
Remove gauge assembly. See GAUGE ASSEMBLY under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect gear position indicator 14-pin connector. Check gear position indicator connector for loose, damaged or corroded terminals. If problem exists, repair connector as necessary. If problem does not exist, perform indicator input test. See Fig 1 . If any input test is not as specified, repair as necessary and retest system. If all input tests are as specified, replace printed circuit board on gauge assembly.
