Accord & Prelude (Except Prelude With Automatic Torque Transfer System - ATTS)

  1. If caster needs adjustment, raise front of vehicle and support it using safety stands. Remove lock nut on end of radius (strut) rod. See Fig 1 . Remove radius rod bolts and radius rod from lower control arm.
  2. Adjust caster angle by increasing or decreasing adjusting shims. On Prelude, a 1/8" (3.2 mm) thick shim changes caster angle by 0.67 degree (40 minutes). Caster angle can be adjusted a maximum of 1.33 degree (one degree, 20 minutes). On Accord, a 1/8" (3.2 mm) thick shim changes caster angle by 0.58 degree (35 minutes). Caster angle can be adjusted a maximum of 1.17 degree (one degree, 10 minutes). Install NEW lock nut. Tighten radius rod bolts and lock nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
