Removal & Installation (S2000)

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove hub and bearing assembly. See HUB & BEARING ASSEMBLY . Using Hub Remover/Installer (07GAF-SD40100) separate hub from knuckle and hydraulic press. Hold hub and keep it from falling when pressed clear. Remove 3 screws attaching splash guard and bearing retaining snap ring from knuckle. Press wheel bearing out of knuckle, using Driver (07749-0010000) and Attachment (07749-0010400). Press wheel bearing inner race from hub, using Hub Remover/Installer (07GAF-SD40100) and hydraulic press. Clean knuckle and hub thoroughly before reassembly.
  2. Press NEW bearing onto hub by using old bearing and Support Base (07965-SD90100). Install splash guard and bearing retaining snap ring to knuckle. Install hub onto knuckle by using Support Base (07965-SD90100), Attachment (07746-0010500) and Driver (07749-0010000). Reverse removal procedures for hub and bearing assembly. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Stake hub retaining nut against spindle.
