Removal & Installation (Odyssey)
- Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel assembly. Remove brake drum, parking brake cable and brake hose from trailing arm. Position hydraulic jack under connecting point of lower control arm and knuckle. Raise hydraulic jack to support knuckle. Remove mounting bolts from trailing arm. Remove trailing arm. See Figure.
- To install, reverse removal procedures. Slowly release hydraulic jack from lower control arm. Bleed hydraulic brake system. See DISC & DRUM article in BRAKES. Tighten fasteners to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Check rear wheel alignment, adjust as necessary. See SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES in WHEEL ALIGNMENT article.
