Wheel Bearing: Removal

  1. Remove steering knuckle. See HUB & KNUCKLE ASSEMBLY . Using Front Hub Remover/Installer (07JAF-SH20110 on Civic or 07GAF-SE00100 on other models), press hub from steering knuckle. Remove splash guard (if necessary). Remove bearing retaining snap ring and knuckle ring from knuckle. Press bearing out of knuckle, using Support Base (07965-SD90100), Attachment (07965-SA00600 on Accord, 07746-0010500 on Civic, Prelude and Odyssey, 07947-6340400 on CR-V) and Driver (07749-0010000).
  2. Press wheel bearing inner race from hub using Front Hub Remover (07GAF-SE00100 on Prelude, Odyssey, CR-V and Accord, 07JAF-SH20110 on Civic). Clean knuckle and hub thoroughly before reassembly.
