Upper Control Arm: Removal
NOTE:
Upper control arm assembly must be replaced if play exists in bushings.
- Raise and support front of vehicle. Remove wheel assembly. On Accord and Prelude with Active Torque Transfer System (ATTS), strut must be removed before proceeding. See STRUT ASSEMBLY . Remove cotter pin and nut from upper ball joint stud.
- Using ball joint remover, separate upper ball joint from steering knuckle. Remove anchor bolts-to-body. See Figure-Figure . Remove upper control arm.
