SRS Unit: Installation

  1. Install new SRS unit. See Figure . Tighten new Torx bolts to 87 INCH lbs. (9.8 N.m). Connect SRS main harness 18-pin connector to SRS unit, and push into position until click is heard. Reinstall SRS unit right and left side covers. Ensure covers snap together in the middle.
  2. Activate air bags and seat belt tensioners. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM  . After installation, check system for proper operation. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  .
