Removal & Installation Passenger-side
- Before proceeding, See AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
. Disable passenger-side air bag. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM
. Remove mounting nuts from bracket. Lift air bag out of dashboard. See Fig 1
.NOTE: Air bag assembly lid is attached to dashboard with side pawls. To remove air bag assembly, cover lid and dashboard with a cloth, and pry carefully with a screwdriver.
- To install, position air bag assembly in dashboard. Tighten air bag mounting nuts to 87 INCH lbs. (9.8 N.m). See Fig 1 . Activate passenger-side air bag. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Check system for proper operation. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .
