Damaged Air Bag Or Seat Belt TENSIONER Special Procedure

WARNING: An undeployed air bag should be considered a potentially explosive device that can cause serious injury.

If air bag or seat belt tensioner is installed in vehicle, follow removal procedure. See AIR BAG ASSEMBLIES or SEAT BELT TENSIONERS under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If connector is removed, short air bag inflator or seat belt tensioner by twisting wires together.
Package air bag in exactly same packaging that replacement part came in. Mark outside of box "DAMAGED AIR BAG NOT DEPLOYED" or "DAMAGED SEAT BELT TENSIONER NOT DEPLOYED" so it is not confused in parts stock. Contact manufacturer for disposal instructions.
