Self-Diagnostic System

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

The PCM monitors transaxle operation. PCM contains a self-diagnostic system which stores a DTC if a transaxle electronic control system failure or problem exists. If DTC is stored, PCM will turn on and flash "D" indicator light. See Figure. If a transaxle electronic control system failure or problem is suspected and "D" indicator light does not illuminate or does not flash, see appropriate "D" INDICATOR LIGHT CIRCUIT CHECK  under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING. DTCs can be retrieved using scan tool connected to Data Link Connector (DLC). The DLC is located under instrument panel, behind center console. See Figure.
