Shift Control Solenoid Valve "A"/"B" Assembly
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Disconnect shift control solenoid valve "A"/"B" assembly harness connector. Shift control solenoid valves are located on lower right side of transaxle. See Figure.
- Measure resistance between ground and solenoid "A" terminal No. 1 (Blue/Yellow wire) or solenoid "B" terminal No. 2 (Green/White wire). Resistance should be 12-25 ohms. Replace shift control solenoid valve assembly if resistance of either solenoid valve is not as specified. If resistance is as specified, go to next step.
- Check shift control solenoid valve operation. Ensure solenoid valve body is grounded. Apply battery voltage to solenoid "A" terminal No. 1, then solenoid "B" terminal No. 2. Clicking sound should be heard, indicating solenoid valve operation. Replace shift control solenoid valve "A"/"B" assembly if either solenoid valve fails to operate.
