Lock-Up Control Solenoid Valve "A"/"B" Assembly

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Lock-up control solenoid valves are located on top of transaxle. See Figure. Disconnect lock-up control solenoid valve "A"/"B" assembly harness connector.
  2. Measure resistance between solenoid "B" terminal No. 1 (Green/Black wire) and ground and between solenoid "A" terminal No. 2 (Yellow wire) and ground. Resistance should be 12-25 ohms. If resistance is not as specified, replace lock-up control solenoid valve assembly. If resistance is as specified, go to next step.
  3. Check lock-up control solenoid valve operation. Ensure solenoid valve body is grounded. Apply battery voltage to solenoid "B" terminal No. 1, then solenoid "A" terminal No. 2. Clicking sound should be heard, indicating solenoid valve operation. Replace lock-up control solenoid valve assembly if either solenoid valve fails to operate.
