A/T Gear Position Switch

NOTE:
The A/T gear position switch contains back-up light switch and neutral position switch. Back-up light switch and neutral position switch can be checked when checking A/T gear position switch.
- Disconnect A/T gear position switch harness connector. Note connector terminal identification. See Figure.
- Check for continuity between specified terminals with selector lever in indicated positions. See A/T GEAR POSITION SWITCH CONTINUITY table.
- If continuity is not as specified, A/T gear position switch may require adjustment. See A/T GEAR POSITION SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If correct continuity cannot be obtained by adjusting A/T gear position switch, replace switch assembly.
NOTE:
Check for continuity while moving selector lever back and forth in free play area of each gear position.
