Circuit Description

Vehicle Theft Deterrent (VTD) system is called the PassLock® system. System is designed to prevent vehicle theft by disabling engine, unless a mechanical key is used to correctly engage and rotate the PassLock® lock cylinder. System components include ignition switch, PassLock® lock cylinder, PassLock® Sensor, Body Control Module (BCM) and Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
Conditions for setting DTC are:
- Received a fuel disabled signal from BCM.
- Unrecognized or incorrect password is sent from BCM to PCM.
