Circuit Description

Powertrain Control Module (PCM) uses Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor signal to determine which cylinder is misfiring when a misfire is present. When PCM receives an intermittent signal from CMP sensor, the CMP RESYNC counter will increment.

Conditions for setting this DTC are:

Engine is running.
CMP RESYNC counter is greater than 15 counts in less than 256 seconds.
