Rear Drum Brake Shoes: Removal

- Raise and support vehicle. Remove rear wheels. Remove brake drums. Remove hold-down springs with cups and pins. Detach upper and lower return springs. Remove primary shoe and automatic adjuster assembly.
- Detach parking brake cable from automatic adjuster lever. Remove secondary shoe from backing plate. Remove retainer and wave washer. Separate adjuster lever components from secondary shoe. See Fig 1 .
