Power Brake Unit: Removal

Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove master cylinder. See MASTER CYLINDER . Disconnect clamp and remove vacuum hose (with check valve) from power brake unit. Note installed direction for proper check valve operation (arrow on hose label faces engine). Disconnect push rod from brake pedal. From inside vehicle, remove power brake unit-to-firewall nuts. Remove power brake unit and master cylinder as an assembly.
