Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 9 other vehicles, including the 2001 Isuzu Rodeo Sport, 2001 Isuzu Rodeo, 2001 Honda Passport, 2000 Isuzu Rodeo, and 2000 Isuzu Amigo. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove front wheels. Disconnect flex hose from caliper, and plug openings. Remove caliper-to-support bracket bolts and remove caliper.
  2. Replace disc pads and resurface (or replace) rotor as necessary. Inspect caliper for leakage and repair as necessary. To install, apply Silicone grease to caliper sliding surfaces. Install caliper onto support bracket. Install caliper lock bolts and tighten to 55 ft. lbs. (74 N.m).
  3. Using NEW gaskets, install flex hose to caliper with hooked edge of flex hose in hole to prevent rotation. Tighten flex hose-to-caliper bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Flex hose must not contact moving or vibrating parts. Install wheels. Bleed hydraulic system.
