Bleeding Brake System: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2000 Isuzu Hombre and 1999 Isuzu Hombre. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Hydraulic system bleeding is necessary any time air has been introduced into system. Bleeding may be done manually, or by using pressure bleeding equipment. Bleed brakes at all 4 wheels if master cylinder has run dry, been replaced or if hydraulic system has been overhauled.

NOTE: For vehicles equipped with Anti-Lock Brake Systems (ABS), see appropriate ANTI-LOCK - 4-WHEEL article.
