Wheel Bearing Preload

NOTE: The following procedure applies to 2WD models only.

Raise and support vehicle. Remove front wheels. Remove hub cap and cotter pin. Tighten hub nut to 12 ft. lbs. (16 N.m) while turning rotor to seat bearing. Loosen hub nut, and then retighten finger tight. Back off hub nut until cotter pin holes align. Install NEW cotter pin. To complete reassembly, reverse removal procedure.
