Removal & Installation (2.2L Hombre)
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2000 Isuzu VehiCROSS, 2000 Isuzu Trooper, 2000 Isuzu Rodeo, 2000 Isuzu Hombre, and 2000 Isuzu Amigo. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove air intake duct. Remove accelerator cable splash shield from accelerator cable bracket Disconnect accelerator, cruise and transmission control cables. Remove vacuum hose harness from top of air inlet. Disconnect crankcase ventilation valve and power brake vacuum hoses from vacuum tubes at upper manifold. Position vacuum hoses aside.
- Remove electrical connectors at MAP sensor, TP sensor, and IAC valve. Remove bolts/nuts attaching throttle cable bracket, and position bracket and cables aside. Remove bolts/studs attaching upper manifold to lower manifold, and position EGR and injector wiring harness aside. Remove upper manifold assembly and gasket. Discard gasket.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
