Removal & Installation (4.3L)

- Relieve fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect air cleaner duct from throttle body.
- Remove upper manifold assembly. See UPPER INTAKE MANIFOLD (PLENUM) .
- Remove fuel meter body assembly. See FUEL METER BODY . Disassemble lower hold-down plate and nuts. While pulling poppet nozzle tube downward, push small screwdriver down between injector terminals until injector is removed.
- Lubricate NEW injector "O" ring seals with engine oil. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
