Removal & Installation (2.2L Hombre)
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2000 Isuzu VehiCROSS, 2000 Isuzu Trooper, 2000 Isuzu Rodeo, 2000 Isuzu Hombre, and 2000 Isuzu Amigo. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Relieve fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect air cleaner duct from throttle body.
- Remove upper manifold assembly. See UPPER INTAKE MANIFOLD (PLENUM) .
- Remove fuel return line retaining bracket nut and bracket. Move return line away from regulator. Remove pressure regulator assembly.
- Remove injector retainer bracket attaching screws. Carefully slide bracket off to clear injector slots and regulator. Remove injector connectors. Remove fuel injectors.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Lubricate and install NEW injector "O" rings. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
