Removal & Installation (4.3L)

- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove camshaft position senor wiring connector. Remove distributor cap and rotor. Align square slot in reluctor wheel with CMP sensor.
- Remove CMP sensor. Before installing new sensor, inspect "O" ring for damaged or wear and replace if necessary.
- To install, lubricate "O" ring with engine oil and reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
