If CKP system variation learn procedure cannot be learned, check for following conditions:

Chipped or damaged reluctor wheel.
Incorrect reluctor/CKP sensor alignment.
Excessive crankshaft runout.
Problem in CKP sensor signal circuit.

NOTE: If crankshaft-to-camshaft pulse ratio is incorrect, VCM will not permit scan tool to enable learn procedure.

If engine cuts out before specified learn procedure engine speed or at normal fuel cut-off RPM, VCM is not in learn procedure mode. Review CKP system variation learning procedure and re-enable learn procedure. Verify that scan tool indicates TEST IN PROGRESS.
