Clearing Trouble Codes

NOTE: Ensure vehicle does not move and SCS service connector is not disconnected from 2-pin service check connector during code clearing procedure. If brake pedal is not operated as specified, DTC will not be cleared.
  1. Locate 2-pin service check connector. See Figure or Figure . Install fused jumper wire or SCS Service Connector (07PAZ-0010100) between service check connector terminals.
  2. Depress brake pedal. Turn ignition on while depressing brake pedal. DO NOT start engine. ABS indicator light should turn on for 2 seconds and then turn off. See Fig 1 . After ABS indicator light turns off, release brake pedal. ABS indicator light should turn on after 4 seconds.
  3. After ABS indicator light turns on, depress brake pedal again. ABS indicator light should turn off again after 4 seconds. After ABS indicator light turns off, release brake pedal again. After 4 seconds, ABS indicator light will blink 2 times for .3 second and DTCs will be erased.
  4. After DTCs have been erased, turn ignition switch off. Remove fused jumper wire or SCS Service Connector (07PAZ-0010100). Confirm that DTCs were cleared.
