Pedal Height
- Disconnect brake switch connector. Loosen brakelight switch lock nut and back off switch until it no longer touches brake pedal. Lift up carpet. Measure pedal height between insulator cutout and middle of left side (Civic) or right side (CR-V) of pedal pad. On Civic, pedal height should be 6.16" (157 mm) on M/T and 3.34" (161 mm) on A/T and CVT. On CR-V, pedal height should be 6.10" (155 mm) on M/T and 6.34" (161 mm) on A/T. See Figure .
- On all models, loosen brake pedal push rod lock nut, and screw push rod in or out until correct pedal height is obtained. Tighten lock nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Screw in brake switch until plunger is fully depressed. Back off switch 1/4 turn so that there is .01" (.3 mm) clearance between threaded end of brake switch and pad. Tighten lock nut and connect brake switch connector.
