Removal & Installation (Odyssey, Prelude & S2000)
- Remove steering column. See STEERING COLUMN article in STEERING. Center punch shear bolt and drill heads off with 3/16" (5 mm) drill bit. Remove shear bolts from switch body. Go to next step.
- Install switch body without key inserted. Loosely tighten NEW shear bolts. Insert ignition key and check for proper operation of steering wheel lock mechanism. Ensure ignition key operates freely in lock housing. Tighten shear bolt until hex heads twist off. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
