apply electrical power to any component on steering column without first deactivating air bag system. Air bag may deploy.
The instrument panel contains an electronic speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, coolant temperature gauge, A/T gear position indicator, and warning light displays. Cross-coil type gauges, in which 2 intersecting coils are wound around a permanent magnet, are used.
