Temperature Gauge Sending Unit Test

Disconnect coolant temperature gauge sending unit electrical connector. Check resistance of temperature gauge sending unit with engine cold. Start engine. Allow engine coolant temperature to rise. Measure temperature gauge sending unit resistance as coolant temperature rises. If resistance values differ from specifications, replace temperature gauge sending unit.
