Description & Operation
The instrument panel contains an electronic speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, coolant temperature gauge, gear position indicator, and warning light displays. Cross-coil type gauges, in which 2 intersecting coils are wound around a permanent magnet, are used. On SH models, an Active Torque Transfer System (ATTS) indicator light will illuminate for about 3 seconds, when ignition is turned on. On all models, if a fault exists in any indicator circuit, that indicator light will remain illuminated.
WARNING:
Deactivate air bag system before performing any service operation. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM article. Do not apply electrical power to any component on steering column without first deactivating air bag system. Air bag may deploy.
