Fuel Gauge

  1. Remove fuel sending unit cover in luggage area. Ensure ignition switch is in "OFF" position. Disconnect 2-pin connector from sending unit wire harness. Install a jumper wire between Yellow/White and Black terminals.
  2. Turn ignition switch to "ON" position. Ensure fuel gauge pointer starts moving toward "F" mark on gauge.
    CAUTION: Turn ignition off within 5 seconds, before gauge pointer reaches "F" mark. Failure to turn ignition off before pointer reaches "F" mark may cause damage to fuel gauge.
  3. If fuel gauge pointer does not move, check fuse, wire harness and connector. If gauge is okay, check fuel sending unit.
