Economy Driving Indicator

  1. Indicator light in warning and indicator panel is used to help develop driving habits for better fuel economy. Rapid acceleration or wide open throttle openings will keep indicator light from working. Indicator requires gradual acceleration.
  2. In each forward gear, indicator light will come on when engine is beginning to operate at a higher speed than will deliver optimum fuel economy. Upshift to next higher gear as soon as light comes on. Light will go out as soon as shift is made. Sometimes road conditions or traffic may require acceleration to a higher engine speed than is most economical before shifting.
