Valve Timing

Be sure No. 1 piston is at TDC (mark on flywheel or driveplate aligned with index mark). Valve timing is correct if camshaft timing marks are properly aligned. SeeFig 1 and Fig 2 . For timing belt removal and installation procedures, see Timing Belt and Camshaft Pulley.
