Engine Cooling: Thermostat

Thermostat begins opening about 177-188° F (80-84° C) and is fully open at 203° F (95°C), for all engines. An optional thermostat for 1.8L engines begins to open about 187-194° F (86-90° C) and fully open at 212° F (100° C).
