Leak Test

  1. Depress brake pedal with engine running, then stop engine. If pedal height does not vary while depressed for 30 seconds, vacuum unit is good. If pedal rises, vacuum unit is faulty.
  2. With engine stopped, depress brake pedal several times. Pedal should be low when first depressed. On consecutive applications, pedal height should gradually rise. If pedal height does not vary, check power brake unit's check valve.
