Cleaning & Inspection

Wash all parts in clean brake fluid or denatured alcohol, and blow dry with compressed air.
Check for wear or damage to pistons and cylinder bore. Replace all rubber components and defective parts.
On Civic, standard piston-to-wheel cylinder clearance is .0006-.0030" (.016-.086 mm). Service limit is .0040" (.100 mm).
On Accord & Prelude, standard piston-to-wheel cylinder clearance is .0008-.0041" (.020-.105 mm). Service limit is .0040" (.100 mm).

NOTE: Lips of piston cups must face center of cylinder.
