Disc Brake Caliper: Reassembly

  1. Apply brake fluid to caliper bore, piston surface and piston seal. Install piston square ring seal into caliper bore.
  2. Apply silicone grease at piston-to-dust seal ridge of piston. Install dust boot onto piston. Seat piston into caliper bore using finger pressure only.
  3. Evenly seat outside metal edge of dust seal into caliper. Use care not to buckle or crimp dust seal outer ring.
