Cleaning & Inspection

  1. Wash all parts in clean brake fluid or denatured alcohol, and check for wear or damage.
  2. Check cylinder bore and pistons for damage. Replace any components that are scratched or scored. Replace all rubber components during overhaul.
  3. Standard piston-to-caliper clearance is .001-.005" (.025-.125 mm). Service limit is .010" (.25 mm).
