Disassembly (Accord, Civic & Prelude 4-5 Speed)

Remove bearing retainer plate from housing. Using bearing remover and attachment, remove countershaft bearing from housing. With illustration as a guide, remove remaining parts from countershaft. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 .

NOTE: On Civic countershaft, all needle bearings are identical. On Accord and Prelude, the third, fourth and fifth gear needle bearings are identical but first and second gear needle bearings are not.
