Removal (Civic)

  1. Using small screwdriver, pry ends of release bearing clip out of holes in fork. Slide bearing and holder off shaft sleeve. To prevent damaging clip, DO NOT  bend further than necessary. Note clip location for proper installation. Check release bearing for excessive play by spinning by hand in thrust direction. If there is excessive play, replace bearing.
  2. To replace bearing, drive holder out of release bearing by using small end of drive attachment tool (driver 07749-0010000 with attachment 07947-6340300 ). Drive new bearing onto holder using large end of driver attachment. Rounded shoulder on bearing inner race faces down.
