Wheel Bearings: Installation

NOTE: Pack both wheel bearings with grease before installing. Also, apply grease to lips of seals.
  1. Press bearing outer race into steering knuckle. Install bearing, outside inner race and snap ring to steering knuckle.
  2. Install seal to outside of steering knuckle. Install inner bearing and race to inside of steering knuckle. Install splash guard. Press hub into steering knuckle and install seal.
  3. Place steering knuckle in position on vehicle and attach shock absorber. Attach lower control arm ball joint and tie rod ball joint to steering knuckle. Install rotor, caliper and axle shafts to steering knuckle. Install new spindle nut, then wheel.
