THERMOWAX Valve
- Disconnect the lower coolant hose from the thermowax valve. Insert a thermometer into the open coolant fitting. Measure and record coolant temperature. Refer to the chart shown in Fig 1 . Draw a line straight up from the measured temperature specification to intersect the diagonal line on the chart.
- Distance specification to the left of the intersection should correspond with measured distance from the end of the fast idle cam to the end of fast idle lever. If measurement doesn't correspond, spread or narrow the gap in the tabs as necessary and recheck. See Fig 2 .
