Tail Pipe Emission Inspection

  1. Perform step 1) of Propane Enrichment Procedure. If necessary, adjust idle speed. On all models, warm up and calibrate CO meter according to manufacturer's instructions.
  2. Check CO with headlights, heater blower, rear window defogger, cooling fan and A/C off. CO meter should read 0.1% maximum. If CO level is to specification, go to step 3). If CO level is not to specification, remove idle mixture plug as described in Propane Enrichment Procedure, and adjust mixture screws to obtain proper CO meter reading.
  3. Recheck idle speed, and adjust if necessary by turning throttle stop screw. Then recheck CO level and adjust if necessary. On Prelude, check and adjust propane enriched RPM according to step 10) of Propane Enrichment Procedure.
