Removal & Installation

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Use floor jack to support axle housing. Remove nut and bolt holding shock absorber to rear axle housing. See Figure.
  2. Slowly lower axle housing, using care not to stretch brake line or parking brake cable. Remove coil spring. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten all bolts and nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
