Diagnostic Aids

A poor connection can cause an intermittent condition. Check following connections:

• Air bag steering column connector terminals No. D3 and terminal No. D4.
• Upper air bag steering wheel module coil connector terminals No. D1 and terminal No. D2. SDM terminal No. 9 and terminal No. 10..
• Wire to terminal connections in CKT G/R.
• Wire to terminal connections in CKT G.
  NOTE: Test numbers refer to specific step numbers on diagnostic chart and may skip step numbers. No information has been left out. For circuit number identification, see WIRING DIAGRAM  .

1. 2)  This test checks deployment loop resistance measured by SDM.
2. 3)  This test checks for proper contact and/or corrosion of Yellow  2-way connector.
