Diagnostic Aids

A poor connection can cause an intermittent condition. Check following connections:

• Air bag Instrument panel module harness connector terminals No. B1 and terminal No. B2.
• SDM terminal No. 4 and terminal No. 3..
• Wire to terminal connections in CKT Y/R.
• Wire to terminal connections in CKT Y.
  NOTE: Test numbers refer to specific step numbers on diagnostic chart and may skip step numbers. No information has been left out. For circuit number identification, see WIRING DIAGRAM  .

1. 2)  This test checks deployment loop resistance measured by SDM.
2. 3)  This test checks for proper contact and/or corrosion of Yellow  2-way connector.
3. 10)  This test isolates malfunction to one side of air bag instrument panel module Yellow  2-way connector.
4. 12)  This test checks for proper contact and or corrosion of SDM connector.
