Master Cylinder: Removal

Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove electrical connector from reservoir cap (if equipped). On Prizm, disconnect intake air temperature sensor harness connector and remove air intake hose and cover from throttle body. On all models, disconnect brake lines from master cylinder. Cap brake lines and plug master cylinder ports to prevent fluid spillage and contamination. Remove nuts and washers attaching master cylinder to power brake unit. Remove master cylinder.
