Brake Pedal Height: Prizm

  1. Brake pedal height should be 5.7-6.1" (144-154 mm), measured from face of brake pedal pad to floor under carpet. See Fig 1. To adjust pedal height, remove knee bolster below steering column. Remove left side ventilation duct. Remove brake pedal return spring. Disconnect stoplight switch electrical connector.
  2. Loosen stoplight switch and lock nut on brake pedal push rod. Turn brake pedal push rod until specified pedal height is obtained. Tighten lock nut on brake pedal push rod after adjusting pedal height. Adjust stoplight switch. See STOPLIGHT SWITCH  under ADJUSTMENTS. Reconnect stoplight switch electrical connector. Install brake pedal return spring, left side ventilation duct and knee bolster.
